Julia started doing Pilates after a friend suggested it as a great way to get in shape. But she quickly realized the method could offer her more. After practicing Pilates three times a week for two years, Julia decided the next step was to become an instructor. Not only did she want to make her own practice stronger, but also bring the health, joy and peace she found through Pilates to others.
In 2016, after 950 hours of study in the Classical Pilates method, Julia completed The Advanced Teacher Training Program at a licensed teaching studio for The Pilates Center of Boulder, CO (often referred to as “The Harvard” of Pilates teacher training). Since then she has taught at studios in SF, Marin and now, Sonoma. She is currently continuing her education by completing The Pilates Center’s Master’s Program, which is an additional 116 hours of training.
Julia lives in Sonoma with her husband, two pugs and a cat. Besides Pilates, Julia enjoys staying active by walking and playing tennis.
